英文小学堂 - Bloedel Conservatory

想彻底忘掉阴雨连绵的天气，那么去布鲁代尔花鸟保护园吧！

坐落在伊丽莎白女皇公园(Queen Elizabeth Park)，建造在高地上的圆拱形温室里面别有洞天。500种热带花草郁郁葱葱生机勃勃，120种五颜六色的珍禽在林间花丛中自由嬉戏。

如果参加者尽早在温室内完成学习，我们将移至户外去参观伊丽莎白女王采石场和鸭池。 “通过接触自然或园艺活动，我们将对我们的情感，精神，身体，精神和社会产生积极影响。”

通过练习5W，参与者将有能力提出更高级别的问题，可以增加对英语微妙之处的理解。用英语问清楚而简洁的问题不仅对旅行有用，而且可以帮助增加妈妈和孩子之间的对话和沟通，使妈妈有更多的理由来时刻练习英语技能。

12月5日活动

本周英文课程主题主要是了解西式烘焙一系列知识。

在烘焙过程中，我们将通过互动活动了解不同的香料，参与者可以品尝不同的香料，测试他们的味蕾，并了解有关全球香料贸易历史的一些有趣故事！在参与者离开之前，我们将进行简短的汇报以评估参与者从今天中学到的知识。同时我们也会让妈妈们带走一些饼干和装饰材料，回家以后可以与孩子一起在家中一起装饰饼干！

11月21日活动

本周英文课程主题主要是了解温哥华社区、讨论与加拿大人交往一系列知识。

这次温哥华社区徒步活动将是妈妈俱乐部正在进行的系列课程的第1部分，以后系列课程的每次活动都将了解一个新的社区。该系列课程主要是向参与者介绍温哥华周围的各个社区，讨论的与西人邻居或者朋友的相处之道，同时学习与之相关的英文词汇。

日期时间安排：1月15日

9:30 AM: Meet Vanoutdoors instructors near the water fountain in the plaza.
9:45 AM: Introductions and ice breaker. Talk about our history or interest in gardening/house plants.
10:00 AM: Participants enter the Bloedel Conservatory and are taught the 5 W’s and 1 H.
10:15 AM: Participants are taken through the conservatory by Vanoutdoors instructors and shown some of the more popular tropical flora that make great house plants in today’s homes.
10:45 AM: Participants are introduced to the rules of the educational game and are encouraged to roam freely throughout the Bloedel Conservatory. From this point, learning will take place in an informal setting, where participants are encouraged to ask questions about plants they see and want to learn more about.
11:45 AM: Participants meet at the designated meeting point and we will assess as a team how the group feels- if they would like more time to explore the conservatory, or leave and go view the Quarry Garden.
12:15 PM: Debrief what we learned.
12:30 PM: Dismissal.
